It would seem from the sections of my site that I have an affinity with islands, deserts and Asia. For the islands I am a victim of circumstance. Victim is however not the best word as I was very fortunate to be born and to grow up on the Isle of Man. Although I haven’t lived there for many years I go back every year to visit family and friends.

I am just ashamed to say that the photos on that page are just a mere taster of what the place has to offer. A much better picture gallery can be found at manxscenes.com.

The other two islands, Malta and Sicily were explored during holidays spent while I lived in Tunisia. Interestingly enough (at least to me) the symbol of the Isle of Man, the three legs of man, was originally a Sicilian symbol and can also be seen all over that island. I believe it originated with the Vikings.

The final island is Jersey, home of my fellow islander and partner, Jackie. The photos for this page were taken while on holiday in August 2007.
